FAQ
Send us the inspection report and we will assess which alterations are needed to bring the installation
into compliance. If you do not yet have a valid inspection report, we will first arrange an inspection if
needed. We will then prepare a clear quotation for the necessary work.
No. A failed inspection does not automatically mean that the entire installation needs to be replaced. We
review the non-compliances identified and make targeted alterations where necessary to bring the
installation into compliance with the AREI.
Yes. In many cases, we can identify the work required from the report of the failed inspection. Where
additional information is needed, we first schedule a technical site visit.
If necessary, we can first arrange for an electrical inspection to be carried out. We can then use the
findings to prepare a quotation for bringing the installation into compliance.
Yes. Once the work is completed, we arrange the reinspection. Our technician can attend the inspection
on site and provide the inspector with the necessary information.
Our work aims to rectify the electrical non-compliances identified so that the installation can pass its
reinspection. The inspection certificate itself is issued by an approved inspection body.
Yes. If the single-line diagram and/or installation layout plan is missing, incomplete or no longer accurate,
we can prepare or update these documents.
This depends largely on the installation and the non-compliances identified. We therefore provide a
quotation based on the inspection report and, if necessary, a technical site visit. This means you know in
advance what work is included and how much it will cost.
Minor alterations can often be completed in one day. More extensive non-compliances may require more
time. When scheduling the work, we provide an estimate of its duration in advance.
Not necessarily. Wherever possible, we look for a solution that keeps any work to open up walls or floors
to a minimum. However, some alterations, such as installing new wiring or additional circuits, may require
limited work of this kind.
Not necessarily. Specific provisions and exceptions may apply to older electrical installations. We
therefore always assess the existing installation, its age and the comments in the inspection report.
Yes. We can modify or replace distribution boards, install residual current devices and other protective
devices, and modify the internal wiring where necessary for compliance and safety.
Yes. Problems with the earthing system, earth disconnecting link, protective conductors and equipotential
bonding are among the issues we can investigate and rectify.
An unsatisfactory electrical inspection report does not in itself necessarily prevent the sale of a home.
The applicable obligations and deadlines depend on the situation. We can bring the installation into
compliance either before or after the sale.
Yes. Send us the inspection report and we can coordinate the entire process: assessment of the non-
compliances, quotation, completion of the work, electrical diagrams and arrangements for the
reinspection.
Yes. This could include additional sockets, new lighting points, separate circuits for appliances,
modifications to the distribution board or other electrical improvements. We can include this work in the
quotation.
Yes. The work to bring the installation into compliance is carried out with the aim of meeting the
applicable requirements of the General Regulations on Electrical Installations (AREI).
Simply send us the report of your failed inspection. We will analyse it and contact you to discuss the next
step. If necessary, we will first schedule a technical site visit or arrange an inspection.
